The draft Regional Operational Programme for the Mazowieckie Voivodeship 2014-2020 – revision of 18 December 2014

Masovia is characterised by considerable spatial disproportions in socio-economic development (GDP as compared to the national average for Warsaw is 301%, for the Ostrołęka-Siedlce subregion 76.1%). Warsaw is the political and economic centre of the country and a transport hub with a European significance, which accumulates spatial conflicts. The region’s problems include weak transport accessibility of areas outside the Warsaw functional area along with their hindered access to services and their low quality.
The territorial policy was based on the implementation of Integrated Territorial Investments for Warsaw and its functional area.
The support provided for in the ITI will enable boosting the growth potential and competitiveness of the area where they will be performed. Furthermore, they form part of the regional policy assumptions for the Strategic Intervention Area (SIA) of the pole of growth as presented in the Development Strategy for the Mazowieckie Voivodeship by 2030.
