An agreement was signed between the communes defining the cooperation rules for jointly obtaining EU funds.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n An agreement was signed between the communes defining the cooperation rules for jointly obtaining EU funds.<\/strong><\/p>\n Under the measures for the integrated development of Greater Warsaw and the joint acquisition of EU funds under the Integrated Territorial Investments instrument, an agreement was signed defining cooperation rules between Warsaw and 37 nearby communes. For the projects carried out under the agreement concluded between the communes the amount of approx. EUR 165 million was designated, to be supplemented with the funds of the respective communes constituting own contribution to the projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n The agreement was signed by the City of Warsaw as a city with district rights, 14 urban communes, 12 urban-rural communes, and 11 rural communes belonging to 10 districts (Legionowo, Mi\u0144sk Mazowiecki, Nowy Dw\u00f3r Mazowiecki, Otwock, Wo\u0142omin, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Piaseczno, Pruszk\u00f3w, West Warsaw and \u017byrard\u00f3w). Despite the fact that the area covers a relatively small part of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship (7.7%), its residents account for half of the region’s population (50.1%).<\/p>\n Another step towards closer cooperation between the communes will be the adoption of an operating strategy describing specific integrated strategic projects. The Strategy Assumptions specify the key areas for the projects of Integrated Territorial Investments, including public transport, economic promotion and e-services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \n\t\t
