EU grants for Greater Warsaw
The construction of bike paths, Park & Ride facilities and the preparation of investment areas for the operation of small and medium-sized enterprises are measures for which Warsaw and 39 nearby communes can obtain funds from the Regional Operational Programme for the Mazowieckie Voivodeship 2014-2020.
- Until 18 July 2016 proposals can be submitted for arranging and preparing selected investment areas for business with a total funding pool of PLN 21.4 million. Under the competition, support will be provided to measures related to connecting utilities to investment areas and the construction or modernisation of the transport system directly serving these areas or the management of their surroundings.
- Until 29 July 2016 proposals can be submitted for constructing and redeveloping the bike path network with a total funding of PLN 185.9 million.
Support under the competition will cover measures envisaging the construction, redevelopment or marking out cycling lanes.
- Until 29 July 2016 proposals can be submitted for constructing and redeveloping Park & Ride facilities with a total funding of PLN 64.9 million.
The competition envisages funding projects for the construction and redevelopment of interchange junctions (centres) and “Park & Ride” systems. Funding can be also acquired for adjusting the existing cark parks to the “Park & Ride” function.
Local government bodies of Greater Warsaw and entities operating in the area will be able to apply for grants for children as early as in August 2016.
Under the planned competition, it will be possible to obtain funding for places of care for children up to 3 years of age in the form of nursery schools, children’s clubs and day carers. The implementation of the projects will make it possible for persons after maternity, parental and child care leaves who are guardians of children up to 3 years of age to return to work. The pool of funding is over PLN 18 million.
